New season twine and wrap prices are likely to be significantly higher than in 2007. Why? First of all, the price of oil has risen by almost 38% in the past twelve months, leading to increased material and transport costs. Secondly, the value of the pound against the Euro has dropped by more than 8% in the same period, affecting all goods imported into the UK from the Euro zone. These factors will combine to increase this year's pricing and, based on our knowledge and experience of the marketplace, we predict rises of up to 25% compared to 2007.
